Good morning Manila

around 6 am, we got ready to leave the room for breakfast. our bags were packed and ready to be hoisted back to our shoulders again.

we took a lift to the breakfast room in the 12th floor.

the book i bought in KL and managed to read through the last page 3 months later! it was a good one, highly recommended.

one last group shot before leaving the hotel

after breakfast, we left the hotel by catching a taxi to mega mall, where we could take a shuttle bus to the airport. we don't need to worry that we would miss the plane as Siena told me that the plane wouldn't leave if the bus wasn't there yet.

we were right there ahead of time and nobody could get inside to check in yet. while waiting, we walked out of the building to take photos and be goofy one more time..

what to do when waiting? we ate again!

when it was time to say goodbye. Siena and i couldn't hide our tears. when she started to cry, i told her 'don't dare start it' and then i looked away. i know if i didn't try to hold it, i would cry after all. so we hugged one more time and sadly parted.

it was an awsome trip that we made it happen, spending time and travelling together for the whole 7 days. this goal is so worth it. and i will do it again and again if i have chances. no, i will make chances bc i still want to see Cebu and Panlawan. (we even talked about the road trip down there!)

it was an unfogetable experiece meeting you in person, Siena. thank you so much for your time taking care of us and showing us around. we will never forget the delicious foods you try to feed us, the exotic places you proudly showed us around and the most warm welcome you made us feel. this trip will be one of the remarkable trips in our lives. and thank you again for the endless talk we had shared while everyone was sleeping soundly..

after coming back home, you have made me realized that i've a long-lost sister in the Philippines too. take care, gorgeous.. i will see you when i see you...

checking in and leaving Manila

we surprisingly arrived in KL 40 mins in advance and we had plenty of time to move on to our next destinations in our separate ways. Tang had a flight to catch back to Bangkok at 4 pm, which meant she would be home by tonight and sleep in her own bed; while i was still hovering around KL, passing hours, waiting for the night train to leave at 10 pm.

when it was time for the train to leave, i hopped on it looking for my bed and immediately call it a night. it would be another shaky night before i reached home in the morning..

when it was light outside, i was still on the train eating my early breakfast, counting hours to get to the border. i made friends with people in the nearly empty compartment, having chitchats with them before hopping off it around 8.30 am, Malaysian time.

i took a motorcycle taxi to a minibus stand. took a minibus to the market near my hometown and then got picked up by my sister, phun, py and brother-in-law. it felt good to be home again after 10 days away.. and yes, life is awesome!

..this is my birthday present for myself. each year, i would be somewhere around the globe celebrating it..
