Good morning Naga City

when waking up, i saw a note Siena slipped under the door, saying that she and Cindy were going to pick up Siena's children, Chachie and Lawrence and would be back around 9-9.30 am..

Naga City is Siena's hometown. here we were going to meet her mom, Lawrence and Chachie. i couldn't wait to meet them as i've been knowing and seeing them via Siena's 43t for a long time. since they were a little boy and girl.

when tang and i were ready, we walked downstairs to look for the breakfast room. it was sitting next to the hotel. we ate slowly and lazily. after breakfast, i sat savoring tea and my first morning in Naga City.

not long after we finished our breakfast, Siena and the gang arrived the hotel. and we were introduced to Lawrence and Chachie. Siena told me that the Philippines people had at least 2 names, so did Lawrence and Chachie. But when i asked Lawrence which name he wanted me to call him. he said 'Lawrence'. his another name frequently called by his mom was Judien. but i called him Lawrence the whole trip bc he wanted me to call him so..

i was so sad to leave this comfy room but it was time to move to the next adventure.

here we go! packed and ready

taken from the hotel and right in front of me was the bus terminal.

today we were going church hopping in Naga City.

visiting Siena's old university

another church

Naga City

Siena was leading us to a local restaurant serving home cooked food.

plenty of mouthwatering foods.. say no to Jollibee!!

after ordering food, we walked to the third floor and saw plenty of empty tables there.

yum!

and we wouldn't skip our fave dessert here.. halo halo!!

look at chachie, i like the way she posed.

after lunch, cindy drove us to the waterpark located in the south of Naga City, where we walked around taking pictures and being goofy. it was quite a strong sunny day and i was tempted to jump into the water!. it looked so tempting.

Lawrence met BB.

they wanted to jump but they were afraid of the heating sun!

i want to try this.

wish we stayed here. it was pretty cheap, if compared the previous hotels we had stayed.

gosh, i love this girl.

feet together

after waterpark, we headed south to Legaspi. passing cemetary, i got off the car to take some photos.

and the rainbow behind the rice paddy field. it looked huge seeing with my bare eyes but so tiny with the viewfinder..

i love road trip!

paddy field and big blue sky scattered with white fat clouds

a view of Mt. Mayon from our car window. gorgeous, isn't she?

we stopped at shell station for toilet and gas.

Legaspi is the largest city in the far South of Luzon.

first stop after arriving Legaspi was Cagsawa Ruins.

what are you guys doing?

Cagsawa Ruins is about 6km northwest of Legaspi.

In 1814, Mt. Mayon, in the province of Albay, the Philippines, erupted and devastated the surrounding communities. This is what remained of the Cagsawa church, whose bellfry has remained standing as a mute testimony of the enormous disaster caused by flowing lava. Some 1,200 people sought sanctuary in the church, thinking that they would be saved from the fury of Mayon volcano. All of them died.

don't you want to be a kid again?

we left Cagsawa Ruins before dark and headed to Lignon Hill, a nature park.

we had a better and higher view of Mt. Mayon here. but she was shy and hiding.

after sun set, we drove into town to look for a hotel. the first hotel, with a nice pool, was fully booked. what a shame.. then we drove further and found another one. we checked in, settled with our bags and left for town to have dinner.

in this town, we were a big fan of Bigg's. we were going to put 'Jollibee' in the back of our heart for a while.

gimmicks Chachie and Lawrence got from dining here.

this is Atchara!

everyone looked happily tired and sleepy!

after having dinner, we drove back to the hotel and called it a night. the town we passed through was incredibly quiet and dark. it was just 8 pm and it seemed like they went to bed already.. nite Legaspi!
